Shortly after the opening match Michael Cole came to the ring wearing a Team Johnny Shirt and said he was made the official commentator for Team Johnny then he called out John Laurinaitis who brought out the official flag bearer Vicki Guerrero and the official Captain David Otunga ( wearing the most gayest tight vest ever.. ) who then came to the ring shortly after Booker T got up and stood on the announce table and introduced Teddy Long who then Introduced his team Captain Santino Marella and Hornswoggle came out as well as the official flag bearer.. yeah basically it was pretty predictable all round, after all that we had a match Santino v Otunga, Team Captain v Team Captain, this was a really disappointing and really short match that ended with Hornswoggle coming in the ring and getting involved Otunga went to hit him with the flag but it bounced of the ropes and hit him in the face instead Santino hit the cobra for the win after the match John Laurinaitis came into the ring and starting arguing with Teddy Long.. Santino kneeled down behind him and Teddy Long pushed him over Santino pretty funny if your about 9 years old, i actually like the Team Teddy and Team Johnny Feud overall though it's had a really good build up and they both have comedy moments on the Mic, Santino tried to hit the Cobra on Johnny but then Miz came out of nowhere and hit the Skull crushing finale on Santino and then John announced him as the final member of team Johnny but before doing that he made a massive botch and said " Congratulations on being on team teddy " which was pretty funny, but thank god Miz finally has a match at Mania i was beginning to think the Awesome one was not even going to be on the card, a part of me still thinks that Miz is far to big for this match and he should still be a main event superstar i think the best option would be for him to screw team Johnny at Mania and turn Face for another big push and maybe that's why Johnny botched his lines maybe he was getting mixed up with the story plot.. wishful thinking on my part probably.
There was so many Rock and Cena video Packages tonight which i wasn't surprised about there was no HHH or Undertaker tonight but there was also a couple of video packages on that match as well after all the video packages and countless reminders of all the Wrestlemania soundtracks the next match was Eve ( With Beth Phoenix ) v Kelly Kelly the whole match was big borefest neither of them have outstanding wrestling skills and there was a sleeper but Eve and then a Roll up by Kelly Kelly which luckily ended before i fall asleep the sooner Layla is back the better a feud between her and Beth Phoenix is what they need right for the Divas division, Kelly Kelly and some irrelevant celebrity v Beth Phoenix and Eve will be a terrible match but i suppose if Layla returns that can be forgiven
After that we had Christian v CM Punk both of the wrestlers came out and then Jericho appeared on the Titantron and gave another amazing Promo about CM Punk's family and how CM Punk is classed as a Bastard because his Mum and Dad didn't get married til after he was born, this was just typical Jericho at his best there is no one better then him when it comes to Heel Promos like this and i don't think there ever will be, Christian attacked CM Punk from behind just when it looked like he was going to have a mental breakdown over the abuse Y2J was giving him, Punk gained the upper hand of the match and started smashing Christians head into the announce table shortly after he hit the GTS to him on the steel steps and then locked in the Anaconda vice with about 6 referees trying to get him off, CM Punk is getting far to big for his boots now would love it if Jericho beats him but really can't see it happening after the match it was announced Christian was ruled out my the doctors to compete in for Team Johnny leaving a spot open which was later taken by drew Mcintyre which he deserves after all the jobbing out he's done
After that it was Brodus Clay Aka The Funkasaurus v Curt Hawkins in a routine squash match, The Funkasaurus using the same moves over and over again by now you now every single thing he is going to do in his matches i don't know what they are doing with him at the minute but they can't keep him going over people like this they need to work on a feud for him
It was Big Show v Primo after this in another squash match just like the one before hand, don't like the way they choose one half of the tag team champions to take the beating, there are other people out there for that, i really like Epico and Primo as a team and don't like them being made to look weak after the match Cody Rhodes came out with a great Promo about how much of a fail Big Show is and how he'll make big show the biggest fool of all at wrestlemania, been loving Cody in the past few weeks he's really stepped up and made himself credible after that there was a Lord Tensai promo who most people will know as A-Train, really can't wait to see how they portray him in this gimmick. after that there was a Zach Ryder and Eve Torres segment, usually Eve actually slutty then straight after that CM Punk gave an interview to Josh Mathews about Chris Jericho and about what he said about his family and said he's not a Bastard he's the best in the world... no punk we all know Y2J is the best in the world ;)
Mark Henry with John Laurinaitis v Great Khali with Teddy Long was next the match was slow as you'd expect a Khali chop and then he went for the punjabi plunge but Mark Henry hit the worlds strongest slam and beat him after the match John Laurinaitis pushed Teddy Long into the ring and fed him to Mark Henry the rest of team Johnny came out to block any team Teddy superstars coming into the ring to stop Mark Henry, Truth came out but got taken out and then Kofi came out and got the worlds strongest slam, Mark Henry was about to hit the worlds strongest slam on Teddy but Booker T made the save and Scissor kicked Mark Henry, Booker has never lost it in the ring he still looks as fresh as he did back in the day, Teddy Long made Booker T the 6th and final member of Team Teddy, was a pretty good in ring segment in the end
Next up to close the show was The Rock and Cena in the final face off before Wrestlemania, The Rock came out with a massive pop as usual and gave a speech in the ring about how people were asking him to come back and just biging himself up to the fans as The Rock usually does, the crowd were taking it all in as usual with the Boots 2 Asses chanting, i use to love The Rock back in the day thought he was amazing and didn't have to try at all it all seemed really effortless for him with the fans but now it's like he's willing the crowd to cheer him on rather then it being natural, Cena came out and interrupted The Rock after a while he got so much heat from the crowd tonight, Cena has always made really good points since this feud began he has been an active member of the company longer then The Rock has since both of their Careers began it always seems like he has more love for the company then The Rock has, Cena on the Mic has matched Rock in this feud all the time but a lot of the segments between the two have been really similar, Cena gave some really good lines though tonight one of them being " you know the past year we've said a lot of things to each other and i feel really comfortable saying this to your face i will be god damned if you come in a visitor as good as you think you are and take my life from me " even the crowd loved it. really not sure who i want to win though, Rock was always my favourite back in the day and i've never been a fan of Cena but in this feud i really like Cena he's held his own against The Rock
